All pictures taken with OnePlus 3. Overall, the pictures taken are detailed and low noise. I'm very satisfied with the performance of the camera. Tell me what you think about the pictures in the comments section below! :)
Tonight is my last night in Bangkok.
TLDR: A good place to travel to
Reached Bangkok on the 10th at aroubd 6pm. Took the rail train to my hotel (just directly opposite National Stadium train station). Presented my hotel booking confirmation and was told to do the registration on the 9th floor. The first 8 floors are just carparks, which is surprising. The staff was kind and guided me to the lifts and brought me to the counter.
Again I presented the booking confirmation to the staff, and soon, a decent looking manager came and brought me up to 25th floor (privilege lounge). There, I was informed about the hotel's no smoking policy and the benefits as a Executive room guest. Basically, I get access to swimming pool, gyms, breakfast and happy hour at the privilege lounge.
All is well and I went to my room. The lights and air conditioning were already switched on. The room have a bed, 2 TVs (separated, one in living room and another in bedroom). Chiller with drinks (all complimentary). On top of the chiller, there's a coffee maker, 3 bottle of mineral water (two in glass bottle, taste the same)
Toilet is about 3 times the size of my toilet at home, with seperation (in glass) for the toilet bowl, shower and sink. Toiletries like shower gel, conditioning shampoo, body lotion, shower caps, shower gown are provided. There's even an iron and ironing table.
Beside the bed, there's an iPhone dock (ugh, no Android) and two bed lamps by the sides.
It is a 4 star hotel (Mercure) with all the facilities available for executive guests (it's not like I went for executive, cause no other rooms available when I did the booking)
The next day, I went for the breakfast at the privilege lounge. Upon entering the lounge, the same manager greeted me in Thai (which I don't understand, hahahaha!). She even remember my room number (nice!). The place was quiet with only one people (American guy). There's a selection of food like chicken Pao, congee, sausage, pies, salad, to cheese? (those that you have to slice yourself). I didn't know how to use the coffee machine and screwed it up, the staff came to my rescue and made coffee for me (brought to my table). I picked a table with leather seats. Damn, I like quiet places :) but I dislike the feeling of being alone sometimes. Ugh, I think I'm just weird.
After eating, I went out to the sky garden (basically outdoor eating area) to take a few pictures and went back in. You can even eat and surf the web using their provided desktop PCs. The staffs were extremely polite and cleared up the plates quickly (the manager on duty did the job)
Done with breakfast, went to nearby shopping malls to walk walk and buy some new clothes (watermelon shirt, HAHAHAHAHA! ^_^)
Came back at around 5pm and went for the happy hour. Same place, but this time different food. They served red/white wine, beer, cocktails as beverages. This is the first time I ever have alcohol beverage, provided completely free for a hotel stay. For those non alcoholic peeps, they do have juices too.
Went back to hotel room after that and then straight to the night market. I was unlucky and it rained soon after I reached there and those stalls started closing early (supposed to close at 12mn). I recorded a few of my walks around Thailand in video (first time bringing my new OnePlus 3 overseas), and will try to upload them back in Singapore.
That's about it for the day. It's about 3am right now, 4am Singapore time. I'm tired, goodnight and morning to some
As always, take care and I'll see you soon!
