One month and counting... (Actually two if you get what I mean)

We drew a map to a better place
But on that road I took a fall
Oh baby why did you run away?

I was there for you
In your darkest times
I was there for you
In your darkest nights

But I wonder where were you
When I was at my worst
Down on my knees
And you said you had my back
So i wonder where were you...

Where? O_O

This solved those problems that I had with my Jabra Rox! It is over S$24 dollars though...

Trying out POPStation with a new phone! :)

Oh wow, another new phone? Haha, now it is the Redmi Note 8GB White ^_^

Will be booking out again on Tuesday! Yes! TUESDAY! As I will be having my field camp one week after tomorrow, the 4 days break is to compensate for the loss of weekend during field camp week.

All the attention are put on the field camp, it is said to be the most difficult period during BMT. But hey, I've already been through 2 months in camp so it can't be that bad right? Hmmm, let's see.

I will have another 4 days break after my field camp, but I won't be contactable during field camp week. We are not allowed to bring handphone to field camp. Only SAF issued items are allowed to be brought. POP is drawing so near and I can almost smell that day coming closer by the day.

Once I get more information about my POP, I will decide how many tickets/passes I need :D
(I don't remember anyone needing any tickets/passes to enter the POP parade, but just in case)

Since I will book out on Tuesday, I will post more information here about my field camp as I know more about it before I book in again.

As always, take care and I'll see you soon.

Today's book in marks the start of my BMT (Basic Military Training) phase. 2 more months to POP. Will be inviting my friends to join me at my POP parade! Been so busy this week, so much things to do, and so less time.

I also received the bluetooth wireless earphone that I ordered about a week ago!

I really like the display of the product

Bringing these to camp tonight!

The wireless bluetooth implementation of the earphone is perfect for me. Lose the cord without losing the quality music and sound. The only problem with these is that I find it hard to get a good fit on these. To remedy the problem, I've already ordered a set of Comply Foam Tips to go with this new earphone.

To test how these earphone work in real life situation and condition, I brought these out yesterday. Went shopping, talking on the phone, and listening to music. Need some time to get used to the feeling of not needing to 'avoid' the cord. It is a good experience overall. I can also leave my phone in my room and walk out to the living room, all without losing a beat. It also support NFC pairing. I've easily paired my Nexus 7 without my earphone without any issue. A prompt appear on the screen when I tapped my headphone NFC area to my Nexus 7, asking whether to continue pairing. Tap 'Yes' and it's all connected and ready to go!

Relatively good range with these on Bluetooth 4.0
Been talking on the phone so much these days, I'm almost exceeding my 100 minutes voice outgoing plan, currently at 83 minutes. Not to mention that I'm also exceeding my data plan, currently sitting at 1.81GB.

Will have to live without data this week! :( To my friends out there, please SMS me. Do not Whatsapp!!! That's unless you know my other number... LOL!

On the top right hand corner of my phone, I can see the battery meter for my Bluetooth earphone. The earphone will also alert me in the event the battery goes low. Android, sadly, does not offer a battery indicator for my earphone. I guess that is an operating system issue, and not my earphone. On a full charge, the earphone can go for around 5 hours. 5 hours of constant non-stop music. The magnetic power saving mode feature also made it easy for me to turn the earphone off and put it in standby mode, hanging around my neck. If I receive a phone call, I can just simply wear the earphone and the earphone will automatically connect to my phone in one second and answer the call. Siri is also supported, so asking for the weather when I'm walking about in the living room without my phone is now possible.

At first, I was worried that the cable might break/wear over time, but it's good to know that the cable is Kevlar enhanced.
This week's training had been hard, really hard. Finally managed to pass my 2.4km run! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!
Field camp is coming up next, and will be spending 5 days (I think?) in the jungle... After field camp and some live firing, it should be near my POP already. One thing that most people don't know is that, recruits spend a lot of time rehearsing for POP before the actual thing really happen. Time files, and it is already August!

Oh, and Happy National Day. I also celebrated the Nation's birthday with the SAF NDP Observance parade. A lot of new recruits are in camp now, they are the enhanced batch who managed to skip through PTP and go straight to BMT
Further optimization of my laptop, brings even more performance with the SSD. I finally decided to enable RAPID mode of my SSD. I also managed to move my browser cache outside of my SSD storage. This is to make sure that there isn't any unnecessary writes made to my SSD impacting the lifespan of my SSD. As I'm constantly watching 1080p videos on YouTube, it caused significant amount of read/write on my SSD.
Now onto my website. Weebly made some major improvements and are building new features for their users. I will definitely be implementing those new features as soon as they become stable and available, and I'm currently testing them. I also want to take the time to mention that my website is getting much more visitors than before.

Graph on the amount of visitors

I'm getting quite a lot of feedback on posts regarding Micromon, even videos on YouTube. I will try to spend some time to see what I can do about it. Majority of the visitors came to my website because of Micromon!

The visitor count depicted in the image above might seem like I'm getting quite a lot less visitors today, but actually it is just not updated.

It's still a long long way to go!

Have been receiving a lot of messages and comments on a few of my recently published videos.

I've even discovered that someone downloaded my video right off my website. That's interesting.

I've been very busy these few days. Hope to have more time to write here during weekends. These few days was both fun and tiring...

I will also be going out this weekend ^_^

I've finished the game, now uploading clips that I recorded during gameplay. Micromon is easily one of the best game that I've ever played on iOS. A big thumbs up!

I just bought Micromon on iOS, and above is a video of me playing the game on my iPhone. Gameplay recorded and uploaded to YouTube for better streaming and quality. Will spend more time on the game!

Updating on my SDC post tomorrow! Bought my earpiece, pending delivery. Downloaded the companion app for the earpiece, awaiting activation code to use the application. YouTube video might take some time to process...
Unable to sleep, so ended up watching ABTM Part 2. I realized that it was kind of similar to my NS life. Some of the things are similar to the movie but I don't feel comfortable posting here. Just watch the movie if you want to know? LOL

The movie actually taught me something, something that I didn't find myself realizing the first few times I watched the movie. I agree to everything mentioned during the 1hr 43min of ABTM Part 2, even the visuals meant something to me.

Today at SDC
A group (apparently tourist and even some citizens? and tour guide) passed by us
Tour guide: These are the people who protect Singapore
Tourist: Clapping...

Damn, I loved every part of it.
These two months wouldn't be possible without all my platoon/section mates
Thanks to all of you! For being there for me when I needed you most!
Can't wait for the day when we POP together.
It is only because of all of you, this 'worst moment of my life' isn't so bad as it seemed to be

Have been raining for two days straight since I book in. Many activities are cancelled because of this. It also left us with a huge load of admin time to do our own things. Since we are not supposed to use our phone during admin time, I used the SAF issued tablet to do my own things. Last week, I used the tablet to do my research on how to speed up my SSD.

This week, I researched about my upcoming new ear piece. I think I'm pretty sure it is the one I want for now. Just waiting for the correct time to spend that money.

I have two hours of hand phone and free time now to do my own things. So I'm here updating my blog, before buying the earpiece?

It is confirmed that I will be going to SDC this Friday. I will have my swimming lesson before booking out to SDC and then go home from there. Today's SOC is cancelled because of the rain. There will be no IPPT and route march this week :D

Tomorrow, I will finally have my SAF fire power demonstration. We are asked to prepare our ear plugs for tomorrow's event. Apparently, they will fire off weapons to show off the firing power of the weapons, probably HE grenades as well.

It is nearly two months from the time I enlist. I'm sure before I know it, I will already be in my BMT phase. Which also means that it's two months more to my POP. I've been posting and updating a lot of my life on my blog, therefore I will be extending my web hosting subscription to bring you more content in the future.

I got my iPhone back and I'm using it as my daily driver again!
