Recently, I got myself a few 128GB MicroSD cards for my Fiio X5 player. Being a technology geek, I test every card I receive to make sure that I'm getting the real deal. I'm writing this post because I found out some 'secrets' behind the cards and it might explain the reason why they are so cheap. I bought two of them, and turns out they are different (inside).

As I mentioned earlier, I have two JABA cards. Actually I have a genuine Samsung EVO 128GB card too! About the manufacturer, the first JABA card is manufactured by Barun Electronics. The second JABA card is manufactured by Unknown! (I forgot to take a screenshot, but trust me on that)

That alone is enough to show that the cards are actually rebrand from another manufacturer. Secondly, I can clearly see the brand 'PNY' on the second JABA card. You must be thinking right now, what the heck is going on? Yeah, that's what I thought also. With that, I'm assuming the second JABA card is actually a PNY rebrand and the first JABA a GoldFlash rebrand.
Third, the speed of all three cards:
1) JABA (PNY rebrand)

From the results, I have no idea why the Samsung EVO card is the slowest when it is supposed to be the fastest. Then again, the Samsung EVO card is rated at just 48Mb/s
It's mind boggling how two cards from technically the same brand can be so different. Quite disappointed if you ask me. Looks like I'm never going to get another JABA card again. I got these cards from Qoo10 SG.

Bling (Offered free by Google Play Movies)
Movie description
Saw the new Google Play Movies app redesign and decided to open it up to take a look. Happen to see that there's actually a free movie offered by Google. I suppose it is part of Google's way to attract people to use their service. Considering that downloading movie files from torrent websites are faster than streaming content online, rarely people will buy/rent any movie. (This is just what I think).
It's not about the size of the bling, but the size of your heart
I'm always more affected when it comes to matters of the heart. Somehow I feel like everytime I watch movies like this, I really get into the movie and feel how the characters in the movie feel. It will either cause me to feel happy/sad.
PS. I like happy endings...
If you haven't watched it yet, I highly rrecommend you do (and it's free!). Although online reviews feel like it's a ripoff to other movies, but it sure made my morning 😊

It is 1:58am. I have COS duty tomorrow and I can't sleep. So I decided to bring down all my stuffs to the office to use the tablet. Recently, my bunk had gotten so stuffy and warm that it is impossible to sleep properly at night anymore. Really hope it gets better or else I'm gonna suffer when the new batch comes.
The new batch of recruits will be coming on the 10th of February (right after Chinese New Year). It makes me wonder why they would pick a date like that to take a batch. Ugh, there goes my CNY... (not to mention that there's a confinement period of 2 weeks)
University registration is open now and I'm trying to apply for another course. It is just 5 months till my ORD. Just like that, it is almost two years! Time really flies. I really don't know whether I should be feeling happy or worried after my ORD. When I'm in NS, I can afford to waste a day doing nothing and it will still count towards my progress for NS. After my ORD, every single day that I do nothing will be a WASTED DAY! I really need to start planning for after my ORD. I will think about it more in the day as I spend my time in the office doing my duty.
Hmm... Let's switch topic.
I bought a Nintendo 3DS XL after my previous batch. After about 4 months, I decided to sell off the 3DS XL and go for the NEW Nintendo 3DS. Sadly, the new 3DS came with dead pixel and is currently under repair by Maxsoft (product support for Nintendo in Singapore). I should be able to get it back on Monday. Also, got a Sky3DS+ to run games on my console.
I'm trying to be more organized. Sorting out the things on my office table, and things like that. Batch is starting and I'm so not ready for it. I bought an Android developer course and I haven't got the time for it yet. Will try to watch the videos and learn something before the next batch comes in.

Another update! (will try to do this more often)
Went for nights out today. Watched 'Creed' at Shaw Nex. It's a good movie, but I thought the movie was too long. I didn't like the ending, and I prefer it to be more dramatic. It has good rating on IMDB and other movies review sites.
I had the new MacDonald's truffle fries the other day when I watched Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2. I'm not the hunger games type of person, and I didn't watch any hunger games before. The movie was surprisingly nice. As for the fries, it's just not my type of food. Will definitely be watching IP MAN 3 on the 24 December.

I'm currently on the way back to camp. After coming out of camp for my medical appointment. Not feeling too good these few days. On and off fever, difficulties breathing due to my sore throat (I hope that's the reason). My medical appointment ended early and I went to the pharmacy to buy some cough medicine to bring back to camp. I hope I will get better.
7th Company is not taking any recruits. And I feel like I've been extremely unproductive these few days. Despite being tasked with projects, I only work on the projects when I feel like it as long as there's progress.
Been thinking a lot during this trip back to camp. Asking myself many things and why am I like this today. Not trying to suggest or say that my current state is bad, but it can definitely be better. I've went through many hurdles in life, and also in NS.
Today, I am 21 years old. Young, and able to accomplish things, possess the energy to get things done, still passionate about the things I like, and etc. NS changed me a lot. Met a lot of new people. Some stay and some don't. People come and go.

I did basically nothing today. Feeling feverish whole day. Those ulcer seems to be recovering (Thanks to the Bonjela?) Throat still hurts like hell, breathing feels so stuffy/and HOT!
Went for my lunch at around 2pm, and skipped breakfast as usual. I skipped dinner too, as I'm just not feeling hungry at all. Panadol continues to bring my temperature down every 4 hrs. It feels so miserable... Maybe I shouldn't have that chocolate cake and salmon sashimi (might be the main cause as the raw meat bacteria can come in contact with the ulcer).
Hope to still be able to watch a movie or two this weekend... Recently I'm so outdated when it comes to movie, and missing a few really good movies.

Just watched 'Our Times' ^_^
原来喜欢一个人，当你看到她走向她喜欢的人，才突然发现，你对她很坏，只是为了想跟她跟靠近一点
I didn't watch 'You are the apple of my eye' and 'Cafe. Waiting. Love' in cinema. When I heard good reviews about 'Our Times' and how it is better than the critically acclaimed 'You are the apple of my eye', I told myself that I've got to watch the movie in the cinemas this time. And I did! I watched it today and it was just as expected, a great movie!
This movie is so popular that I even hear recruits talking about it during mealtime while doing my duties in the cookhouse :P
Don't want to spoil the movie for those who haven't watched yet. In the beginning of the movie, I heard people laughing at all the funny scenes, but at the end of it, all I hear is silence and awww (from myself, maybe)
Will be looking out for the collectors edition for the movie :)
Moving on, I recently added USB 3.0 to my laptop via an expresscard slot. For some reason, it is so underpowered that I cannot even power a hard drive with the ports :( I did plug in my USB 3 thumbdrive and it did work.
This movie is so popular that I even hear recruits talking about it during mealtime while doing my duties in the cookhouse :P

I purchased a 2nd hand Fiio X5 and have been using it to enjoy some high quality audio files that I own. Even without changing my earpiece/headphone, I notice significant difference compared to playing audio from a phone. The IPS display on the Fiio X5 looks good too!

Just realized Weebly updated their mobile app for Android. So just doing a quick post here before I sleep.
If it's not already clear enough, I'm now a BMTC instructor and currently my company is on lull period. I won't be taking any recruits for now.
I already taken one batch of recruits and they have already posted out about two months ago. Being my first batch of recruits, I've learnt a lot from them. In fact, I still think of them. Recently just saw a few of them doing their SCS foundation term field camp here in Tekong. Glad to see that most of them are doing well. All the best to them.
