Okay, so basically I received an email from Weebly to reset my password due to an unauthorized access that obtained user information. Ugh, never did I expect Weebly to have this type of security problems... Whatever the case, just a quick update. Recently, I've been busy with work. Programming on SGTraffic and NRICTools have been put on hold, unless something really major breaks in my apps. The last update on NRICTools brought new implementation for AES to better protect your encrypted card data (There is no such thing as new AES algorithm, just a new way to encrypt/decrypt plus verification checks). Before the update, the saved data of NRICTools can actually be transferred from one device to another, and then decrypted with another set of fingerprint. It is no longer the case with this new update. SGTraffic is still in closed beta, but it is actually good enough for an open beta. I'll see how I want to deal with it soon. Maybe I'll push out an update for it and then set it to open beta. The problem with SGTraffic is that it still doesn't support one of the main feature that I wanted to add. Which is the ability to favorite any camera and then have them showing at the top slideshow. It is surprising how it is already better than some other apps available on the Play Store today. The fact that SGTraffic has no ads, and will NEVER implement ads is a plus point! Been really tired these past few weeks. Brain working a lot, learning a lot of new things. As always, take care and I'll see you soon! Hello,
Weebly recently became aware that an unauthorized party obtained email addresses and/or usernames, IP addresses and encrypted (bcrypt hashed) passwords for a large number of customers. Encrypted passwords are difficult to read or decode, and we do not believe that any customer website has been improperly accessed. We do not store any full credit card numbers, and so we do not believe that any credit card information which can be used for fraudulent charges was a part of this incident. As a precautionary security measure, we suggest that you reset your password. Weebly’s security team is taking steps to further enhance our network security to protect your account. We just added a new security feature that allows you to view recent login history to your account so you can verify your account activity. The security of your account is our highest priority, and we remain deeply committed to protecting your websites and personal information. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit our Weebly Help Center article for more information. Sincerely, The Weebly Team Comments are closed.
