The trip to Hong Kong was great! The last time that I ever travelled so far was back to my secondary school days to Guangzhou. There are many things in Hong Kong that are just similar to Singapore. Particularly, the MTR (MRT in Hong Kong). As close as the name suggest, it is actually pretty alike. Even some of the PA announcement system use the same phrases...
I'm still in the midst of uploading all my photos and videos to online backup and it is taking years. Photos are uploading fast while video uploads are crawling to finish. Will definitely post some pictures here as long as the backups are done. It is also taking over 10GB of space on my phone :/
United Airlines cancelled my flight and then rebooked me on SQ866 flight (Airbus A380). IMO, Singapore Airlines is much better than United Airlines. I don't want to say anything more, it is just better in every way.
Had another chance to watch That Girl in Pinafore on the flight again, it was still amazing (No matter how many times I've watched it). I'm definitely buying the film as soon as it comes out in digital format or even iTunes. Creative is offering some of their MP3 players at an incredibly cheap price, but reviews of their products aren't that good :( Was actually considering to buy but then changed my mind because of the reviews.

The city area of Hong Kong is just plain crazy, crowded, and noisy. I cannot even walk a few steps before I had to avoid people in front of me. Things there are reasonably priced and also very comparable to Singapore.
Landed in Singapore at around 2am in the morning, and then my family took a cab back home from the airport. Reached home at around 3.10am (I still have to pick up my luggage). Slept immediately after I bathed.

Going overseas in a few more days. And just managed to complete a few FYP tasks at hand. For the first time ever, I added AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) to my application! That would make transferring information much more secure than before. I also used Dotfuscator to obfuscate my code to prevent reverse engineering.
I installed Origin, hoping to get some Red Alert 3 action going on. Guess what, Origin version of Red Alert 3 cannot be ran on my Windows 8.1 PC and apparently, Origin isn't giving a d*** about the problem. I had to install the game from my DVD to get it working... What a waste of time, considering that I can just download the image and install from Origin and my Internet is ultra fast (200mbps)
While typing this blog, I fixed another bug on my application :/ I've won another pair of Cathay Cineplexes movie voucher from Mediacorp again :P Listening a lot to the radio recently, I realized the songs are actually better than my own collection and I get to know new songs as well :)
I'm thinking of creating a new icon for my application... Hmm...
Android 4.4.1 just got released by Google with a bunch of bugfixes, but mainly for Nexus 5 though.
After my overseas trip, I hope to work in a part time job or something to earn myself some money. I'm broke :(

It's been about a week since I posted anything here on my website. So I guess I might as well post something and regarding some changes to my blog.
First up, I added another tab (it is password protected). I will use that to log some of the more personal events that are non related to the main blog or the technology blog. It is good to blog often, and research shows that it improves memory! :D
I'm trying to change myself to be more efficient at things. I really wasn't efficient in managing time at all. I was getting very little to no sleep at night most of the time. It is either I took a nap really late that made me unable to sleep when it is time to sleep, or I'm just too busy with my own things.
Of course, change comes with a cost and I'm sure some people will know exactly what I'm talking about :)

I didn't post these few days because my laptop went completely out with many problems. Fujitsu changed for me a HDD that wasn't spoilt, but detected as spoilt due to BIOS problem on my laptop. Fortunately enough, they got a new BIOS update for my laptop model. They swapped out a spare HDD for me and did a BIOS update, then swap back to the original replaced HDD. Everything worked after that, how nice. The technician was extremely kind and patient to help me to resolve my issue :D
They changed for me my LCD screen, CD/DVD Combo drive, WiFi adapter, Motherboard fan, and lastly, the HDD.
First week of school was okay for me. Nothing much happened except for meeting some of my new lecturers (Some of the lecturers taught us before). Timetable was surprising good, as I do not have to report to school on Tuesdays (how great). I'm starting to learn Java programming language using Eclipse for this semester. I can say that it is everything that I've hoped to do every since Primary school, which is to officially learn programming in school :)
Just a few more things about my laptop, it is freaking fast right now. Thanks to all the new hardware that they replaced for me. The LCD screen looks amazing. The previous screen was made by LG and now the replaced screen is made by Samsung (maybe that made the difference). I'm having dramatically lesser screen glare on my laptop, especially when viewing from the sides. With the BIOS updated, I can expect higher stability with my laptop as well :)
Was just trying out DraStic emulator on my Nexus 7, it worked great. This is also the first NDS emulator that is without lag, far better than any emulator ran on PC. I also fixed the problem which my iPhone was unable to download any new applications by doing a restore. I bought a Micro USB cable last week and it arrived a few days ago. It is flawless, and it is rare. Considering that cables are sold cheaply, this should be a pretty good deal. The one I bought is Nylon braided, which is supposed to be stronger and more durable against wear and tear. I used it to charge my Nexus 7 yesterday and it worked brilliantly. I might consider buying one for my iPhone if they fixed the popular (Accessory not supported error) problem.
Just watched Despicable Me 2 again (The first time was in cinemas). I transferred the movie clip over to my Nexus 7 and played it using MX Player Pro. 1080p movie on a 720p screen looked great. Everything is well for me now and hopefully there won't be any new problems for me, at least not so many at the same time :/
