Third party cable charging at 1.01A with Xiaomi Powerbank 10400mAh

I've bought many third party lightning cables in the past from online shops, and those cables have not been able to achieve a true 1A charging rate. This cable is the only exception so far that I've tested. This is the Belkin MIXIT^ Charge/Sync cable.

Disclaimer: I have no idea whether this cable that I've purchased online is the real deal from Belkin. Since it charges at 1A, I would assume that it is Belkin legitimate cable. I also need to mention that the original iPhone lightning cable from Apple charges my iPhone with around 0.02A increase in current compared to this cable. This is nothing to be surprised about as I would have known that Apple's original lightning cable would be the best for its products. Still, charging at 1A is still pretty darn close.

Currently, I own 2 of this cable (One in black and another in gold). I bring one of them to camp just in case the original lightning cable spoils. I haven't tested the cable on iPad to see if it truly achieves 2A, though
On a side note, iOS devices draw more current when the screen is on. The amount of current that the device draw is related to the battery percentage of the device at the time of charging. The current drops as the battery of the device slowly progresses to a full charge. Therefore, to test the cable, I ran my iPhone 5 down to less than 5% battery with the screen off.

Censored most of the information to protect my own privacy

Sadly, this have to happen. I'm unable to consume some food products in preparation for September 1st. Doctor explained to me the risks for going for this surgery. The appliances used might accidentally damage my intestine which will need an emergency patching work to stop internal bleeding. Fingers crossed, I'm really worried. Can you feel my worries? :'( I hate myself, so so much...

Google just released Google Chrome 64 bit in Stable channel. I immediately uninstalled the old Google Chrome 32 bit and took the 64 bit version for a ride. I can feel that both the fluidity and overall responsiveness are better, so I recommend everyone with a 64 bit OS to go download it right now!

Just a quick update, and will have more coming up in the next few days!

Baby, you should've called me
When you were lonely when you needed me to be there
Sadly, you never gave me too many chances
To show you how much I care

Should've seen it coming
I should've read the signs
Anyway
I guess it's over

I will be having my medical appointment tomorrow at NUH.
Will be booking in after that, hopefully everything is alright.

Update (3:23am):
I'm supposed to have a new post up tonight, but I decided that I better don't publish.
So it ended up in my private blog. It is really personal to me and something happened while I'm typing it.

Went back to camp, but after the Medical Officer saw my doctor's letter, he immediately issued a 2 days MC. Then I was sent home immediately... Looks like I cannot book in with a condition like this after all. Sorry I'm kind of busy right now and will definitely write more on this later in the day

Update: Okay I'm back!

Hi everyone. Just want to inform that I will not be posting new posts so regularly like before. As per my previous few posts, I've been facing a lot of health related issues recently. The current stomach/gastro issue might also be the main culprit for my acid re-flux problem that I've been getting ever since Chinese New Year. This year have been a problematic one for me. There are many changes in my life this year, like leaving school, and enlisting myself into the army.

Rest assured that I will still be posting here as per required, but not like before as I won't have the time to do so and will have to spend the time treating myself. I will also slowly create new posts in my personal blog space and hopefully they will be eventually published here on my public blog.

The subscription for the hosting for my website will end next month (1 month + more), and I will definitely be extending my subscription to make sure that things will remain working here. As for my domain, I've already enabled auto-renewal and left enough credits in my account to make sure that it will happen.

I've never felt this alone before but there are just things that I won't share here anymore in my blog. In these next few days, I will also try to remove any and every inappropriate posts that I've made in the past to make sure that all my posts are only about my life and only my life.

Note that there's a "Last updated" text displayed at the top right hand corner of my website. At least you can use that to judge for yourself whether I am still here...
Yes, things happen and there's completely no point harping over it.

Basically, today I'm asked to book in at 7.30am by taking the first ferry back to camp. I've done my own calculations and realized that it is pretty much impossible to reach at that time, unless I take a cab.

Considering that the fastest route to SAF Ferry Terminal is by taking 960 then switching to MRT all the way to Pasir Ris, 960 Bus service only starts at 5.30am? Time is needed for the bus to exit the starting location then to my bus stop. I'm currently on the first 960 bus of the day and on my way to Bugis. I would estimate that I would take around 1 hour + to reach Pasir Ris. SAF Ferry Terminal is also quite inaccessible, I am planning to take a cab from Pasir Ris interchange to the terminal.

Late night charge and other surcharge is also expected to cost me around 10 dollars for the trip.
What to say? What to do? Suck it up! Serving NS isn't easy and this is only one of them...
Will try to write here again before I go field camp!

Signing off @ 6:24am
